WOOD AND WOOD ALLOY BLINDS

Comfortex Woode Blinds Wood "Venetian" Blinds have been used in this country since the early 1700's. They and their wood alloy look-alikes provide a classic, warm, and calmly elegant appearance while offering the benefits of easy light control and privacy.

Some people prefer the authentic beauty of real wood slats, available in a variety of stains and finishes. For those who are concerned about the damaging effects on wood of strong sunlight or room-side moisture, wood alloy blinds might be a better choice. Wood alloy is a composite material made from real hardwood and thermal-polymers. In addition to resisting warping and fading, wood alloy blinds can be easily cleaned with water.

Comfortex Routeless S-Curve Blinds

Wood alloy slats can also be made into intriguing shapes that wood blinds cannot. For example, the S-Curve from Comfortex (right) gives this blind a contemporary appeal and also reduces the light that seeps between the slats.
Levolor Wood Blinds

Both wood and wood alloy blinds can be dressed up with designer tapes (left) and stylish cornices. Both can also be made with an edge route design to eliminate cord holes (above). This helps seal out light for greater room-darkening and increased privacy, and also has an appearance that is sleek and uncluttered.

Wood blinds give you a choice in slat widths of 1", 2" 2½", and 3". Wood alloy blinds are available in 2" and 2½". The wider widths are especially appealing for larger windows and provide more vision to the outside.

We feature premium hardwood blinds from Levolor and Graber; and wood alloy blinds from Levolor, Graber and Comfortex
