ENERGY SAVING SPECIALTIES

We started our business with one product that we developed, a very highly insulating Roman shade. With each one we made, we felt great both because of how happy and warm our customer would be and because we were helping to conserve our planet's energy resources.

Over the years, we have expanded our offerings to include just about every imaginable type of window treatment. Some of them serve other needs, such as privacy or light control, and some are purely aesthetic.

Most window coverings provide some measure of energy savings, but we have specifically sought out those which maximize this benefit, such as the ones below:

The thermal photography below dramatizes the difference an energy-saving window treatment can make. The temperature outside the window shown in these photos is 32 degrees Fahrenheit; the temperature on the room side is 68 degrees .

Uncovered Window Uncovered window: The blue color in this photo indicates the cold temperatures near an uncovered, single-pane window.

With Double Cell Symphony Shade Window with Comfortex double-cell Symphony shade. Note the color gradation from blue to green to yellow. The warmer colors indicate a temperature increase due to blocked drafts and covered glass surfaces.

Window with double-cell shade and ComforTrack Window with double-cell shade and ComforTrack. Add the ComforTrack sidetrack system and the coldest blue areas are all but eliminated! Drafts are blocked significantly since a solid barrier is added between the fabric edge and the window frame.
